What this platform does today to remain usable for every leader, what we have not yet verified, and how to reach us.
Our commitment
BetterEd Solutions serves school leaders, educators, families, and communities. A platform that any of them cannot use is not finished. We treat accessibility as part of the build standard, not a later remediation project.
Practices built into this platform
- Semantic page structure with a single primary heading per page and ordered heading levels.
- Keyboard-operable navigation, including an accessible mobile menu with explicit labeling and focus handling.
- Text and interface colors drawn from a controlled institutional palette selected for contrast against white and navy surfaces.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful imagery, and decorative graphics kept out of the accessibility tree.
- Form fields with visible labels, and diagnostic questions presented as labeled, keyboard-selectable options.
- Responsive layout that reflows without horizontal scrolling on small screens and supports browser zoom.
Known limitations
We report limitations rather than claim conformance we have not verified. A formal third-party accessibility audit of the platform has not yet been completed, and no WCAG conformance level is claimed on this page. Longer diagnostic and report views, in particular, are still being evaluated for screen-reader flow and focus management. As audits are completed, findings and remediation status will be published here.
Documents and reports
Diagnostic reports are available both as a full web view and as a downloadable PDF. The web view is the more accessible of the two, and it carries the same content as the PDF. If a report is needed in an alternate format, BetterEd will provide it.
Requesting accommodation or reporting a barrier
If any part of this platform creates a barrier, tell us what you were trying to do, the page you were on, and the assistive technology you were using. We will respond directly and, where a fix takes time, provide the information or capability another way in the interim.
